The Canada Files!

All sites about Canada have to have the maple leaf showing as prominently as possible, I think it's a law or something

Sept 2004: This is one of those long running projects that I have been meaning to do for a while, but had always found enough actually important things to do to never have gotten around to it. It first came to mind when I was living in Canada, then becoming engaged to a Canadian and making subsequent trips back to the frozen north added fuel to the fire. Well finally, I have managed to procrastinate away enough important things to make time for this… a reasonable compilation of my rant, raves and observations of and in Canada.

I want to start out with the disclaimer that I really enjoyed the my time in Canada and enjoy hanging out with Canadians. I have met some of the nicest, most passionate bunch of left-wing communists ever. If the average salary was higher, the taxes lower and the entire country at least 10 degrees further south I would love to relocate there – especially with the direction that *this* country (the United States) is taking.

The following is a series of observations, rants and general non-sensical ramblings that I have made over the course of my shy-of-a-year stint in Powell River, B.C., on and off visits to Ontario and Quebec, and finally from my experiences married to a crazy-Canadian.

They are of course my opinions only, and if you don’t like them you can deal with it. Better yet, create your own web site with your own ramblings about what an ass-faced baboon *I* am… not that I think Canadians are ass-faced baboons… well most of them at least… 😉

In large part, the inspiration for the my rants and raves, can be traced back to the Canadians pictured below (click on each person)…
